The Team

Our drawing and painting classes are relaxed and sociable, offering a high level of tuition combined with a fun syllabus that helps many of our students to form lasting friendships that continue beyond the end of each art course.

Each member of the tutoring team plays an important role, and here we’ve explained a little more about who they are and what they each get up to:

AmandaAmanda is the principal tutor for all of our art courses in Salisbury and Christchurch.

To compliment her permanent smile and her bubbly and approachable personality, Amanda graduated from Leicester De Montfort University with a BA Hons degree in graphic design, demonstrating her long-held love of all things artistic.

Her specialization in illustrative artwork has meant that over the years she has been commissioned to work with clients such as BP, Asda, Elf Enterprises, Baxters, The Royal Scottish Orchestra and many other instantly recognisable names, an accolade of which she is justifiably proud.

She illustrates children’s books and has also taught art in local secondary schools. Amanda also works as a freelancer for various design agencies which, together with the demands we place on her, means she is always busy!

Despite this hectic workload, Amanda always finds the time to chat patiently to her students, offer one-on-one tuition where necessary, and maintain that permanent smile and a ‘can-do’ attitude.

NicolaNicola teaches our Bournemouth painting and drawing classes and, when she has the time, also runs her own local illustration and art studio too.

She holds a BA in Fine Art and an MA in illustration from the Arts University, Bournemouth. She has a particular interest in the natural world, covering landscape painting, wildlife and plants and her personal artistic projects create a great balance between traditional mediums and digital artwork.

Born locally in Swanage, Nicola has a great personally and new pupils quickly warm to her and her relaxed, structured and confident teaching style.

Laura is principally and illustrator and is the tutor in our Poole art classes. Her private practise is mainly inspired by pottery and ceramics. She finds that observational sketching and drawing helps her to see different aspects of the environment around her.

She has exhibited her work at The Arts University, Bournemouth, together with the Illustration and Literacy Festival, Illustraterrium, Neo-Futerist Exhibition, Bourne Into The Wild Exhibition and others, giving her considerable artistic exposure.
